Congratulations to Ennis Masters swimmers Norma Cahill and Dorothy Ledwith on medal winning performances at recent international competitions and to Chris Bryan on his 2nd place finish in the Great North Swim

Ennis Masters Swimmers Norma Cahill and Dorothy Ledwith were in action recenty in International meets.

Norma competed in the British Masters last week where she won all 4 of her events, and set new Irish Records in 2 of them. In the 1500m freestyle she won in a time of 19.06.84, she then added gold in the 400m freestyle in 4.53.78. In the 200m Backstroke she set a new Irish Record in a time of 2.48.49 and finally in the 800m freestyle Norma broke her own Irish Record, setting a new time of 10.01.27.

Meanwhile Dorothy Ledwith competed in the recent Dutch Open Masters and brought home a silver and bronze medal for Ennis Masters. Swimming in the 1500m freestyle she came 2nd in time of 22.46.06 and in the 400m freestyle she came 3rd in a time of 5.49.72. Dorothy already holds the Irish records in her age group for both these events, and was only just outside those times on this occassion.

Lastly, this weekend Chris Bryan came 2nd in the 5km great North swim in Lake Windermere putting in a strong performance finishing in 54.20.2.
