Best of luck to the Ennis Masters heading to London for the European Championships. The team of Norma Cahill, Adrian Cosgrove, Brian Cullinan. Dorothy Ledwith and Pascal Phelan will compete over a range of distances and strokes from Wednesday to Sunday in Londons Olympic Pool.
Ennis Swimmers on form at LC nationals
Ennis Swimming club members have had a great start at the Irish Open LC Nationals gala this weekend at the NAC. On Thursday evening Hugh McMahon swam a 7 second PB to claim a silver medal in the 1500 freestyle. Then Friday Rory McEvoy claimed silver in the 100 backstroke, while the Ennis 4 x 200 mens relay team of Hugh McMahon, Marley Haugh, Bernard Cahill and Rory McEvoy also won silver medals. Highly Commended Young Scientist Project
Ivana Pyne and Ruairi Power from the level 1 squad gave a very interesting presentation on their young scientist project on breathing and how it can affect swimming performance. The project received a highly commended award at the young scientist competition. Thanks and well done Ivana and Ruairi !
